Holistic healing is at the core of our work

💛 Our Approach

Gentle, whole-person mental health support.

Our goal is to help you recognise and address negative patterns while gaining better insight into your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviours. We also acknowledge external factors - how financial stress, social isolation, social media influence, burnout, and limited access to appropriate support can affect your mental well-being.

🤝 Collaborative, Not Clinical

Our role is to walk beside you and offer compassionate support that honours you, just as you are.

We don’t diagnose and disappear. We’re curious about what matters to you, what’s going on and what might help. Your lived experience is valid, and complex factors like trauma, social pressures, identity, and meaning are part of the picture.

🏥 Shaped by Real-World Experience

We seek to understand your story, strengths, and struggles, alongside recognising your symptoms.

Our experience in psychiatric settings has shown us that mental health care often misses the deeper emotional, relational, spiritual, and cultural dimensions of distress.
We don’t assume your problems are simple, but we work with you to understand that life is wonderfully complex and issues are resolvable.

🌿 Safe Space for Real Change

Healing begins when you feel seen.

We believe healing and genuine change are possible when you feel grounded and supported to reconnect with your self-worth.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, or disconnection, we hold space for all of it - gently and at your pace.

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.

External Resources

Aiming for a society that values and prioritises mental health means having access to mental health information to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health.

Yes you can book a therapy session and change your life
  • Therapy provides you with dedicated time to focus on yourself, your aspirations, and your life goals. Counselling, psychotherapy or mental health counselling is a joint effort between you and a mental health professional to help you improve your quality of life. In therapy, you can address any difficulties or obstacles that you may be facing.

  • Yes! The information discussed during our sessions is confidential and may not be shared with anyone without your written permission except when there is a legal obligation.

Let’s Have a Natter provides you with informed consent documents, including confidentiality information, prior to your first session.

  • Sessions usually last 50 minutes, and during your first session, we aim to get to know you better. You may have already filled in the Let’s Have a Natter Client Intake Form, which will give us an understanding of what brings you to counselling. The first session is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about Liv or the counselling process before agreeing on how we can work together moving forward. How often you attend counselling sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals, though clients often benefit from weekly or fortnightly sessions, which we can discuss in your first session.

  • You can book face-to-face Walk & Talk sessions or online telehealth sessions immediately via the Halaxy health practitioner website or email us.

Common Questions

  • Liv offers individual walk-and-talk therapy sessions, which cost $120 for 50 minutes, and telehealth online sessions, which cost $100 for 50 minutes.

At Let's Have a Natter, we believe therapy is a right, not a privilege. Concession and hardship rates are available. Get in touch to discuss your circumstances and how we can help.

  • Counsellors are not covered by Medicare and we cannot rebate sessions under the Mental Health Care Plan. However, counsellors often charge reasonable prices, in line with allied health practitioners, to negate this, allowing individuals to access more than 10 sessions for a competitive price.

  • Unfortunately, Let’s Have a Natter is not currently a practitioner under private health insurance schemes.

  • We understand psychological evaluations can help individuals recognise themselves, their thinking processes, and find appropriate support to help. We do not, however, complete psychological assessments because a main purpose is to also diagnose mental health conditions and follow drug treatment pathways. We can use our training in the Mental State Examination and Person-Centred Planning nevertheless to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team if that's what you need.
