Natter & Walk
Engaging in walk-and-talk individual therapy sessions offers a unique and holistic approach to mental wellbeing. The outdoors provides a relaxed atmosphere, fostering open conversation and self-reflection. Rather than staring at each other in a therapy office, being within nature and a large open space lends itself to a less formal dialogue, creating a more comfortable space to connect with yourself, the environment and each other. Especially for individuals needing to connect to their bodies, who find sitting for longer periods difficult, have trouble focusing or have an anxious disposition, the combination of movement and fresh air can direct energy out of the body, opening a therapeutic discourse that can lead to improved mood, increased clarity and is a more comfortable option for those seeking a holistic approach to mental health.
Liv offers individual one-hour walk-and-talk therapy sessions cost $120 and take place in Meanjin, starting at the Botanical Gardens in the city and walking along the river. Sessions can also take place along central Meanjin river walks.
A lot of silent stories live within you and have no audience in the world. We want to know who you are and what you need.

Let us connect you
At Let’s Have a Natter, we appreciate how difficult it is to start your journey to figuring out who you are and what you want to be when you grow up at any age or stage. You might want some support but are not sure where to start. It can be overwhelming to find a practitioner, especially if you’re experiencing distressing feelings. There’s more information here about practitioners.
At Let’s Have a Natter, we are qualified to do initial intake assessments and can work with you on a one-off online session to determine important information about your mental and emotional health, including your symptoms, history of mental health treatment, and any relevant medical and family history. We do this holistically, collaborating with you to determine appropriate treatment pathways by looking at risk factors and things you can do immediately to support yourself and feel better, focusing on social supports and connection.
We use evidence-based intake and comprehensive assessment tools, as per our Mental State Examination certificate with the Queensland Government Centre for Mental Health Learning. We link this with person-centred planning (PCP) by embracing the PCP central philosophies of working with you and having your rights and goals at the forefront of planning to bring together the right healthcare providers and services in the community sector for your needs. There’s more information here about PCP.
Let’s connect with your body
At Let’s Have a Natter, we incorporate mental health skills with holistic, metaphysical healing dimensions, integrating insights from meridian psychotherapy and chakras. This comprehensive one-off online session will empathetically explore your emotional and spiritual wellbeing to uncover specific concerns and energetic imbalances. Combining Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) becomes pivotal, as tapping into meridian points and aligning with chakras aids in releasing emotional blockages and promoting energy flow. There’s more information here about EFT and energy meridians. This innovative technique adds a transformative layer to the session, addressing psychological and metaphysical aspects of your wellbeing. The engagement of senses, particularly through aromatherapy and flower essences, deepens the connection to the body and spiritual self, enhancing the holistic experience.
Post-session, you will receive a bespoke box tailored to your unique needs. This box includes a personalised flower essence blend and aromatherapy oils carefully selected to amplify the therapeutic effects experienced during the session. Additionally, a written guide to your customised EFT exercise is included, allowing you to continue your holistic healing journey independently. This post-session package serves as a tangible and ongoing support, reinforcing the empowerment gained during the consultation. Ethical considerations, cultural sensitivity, and informed consent persist as guiding principles, ensuring you receive a well-rounded and personalised therapeutic intervention that spans beyond the confines of the session.
