Acknowledgement & Inclusion

Acknowledgement of Country

Torres Strait Islander Flag.
Australian First Peoples Flag.

Let's Natter acknowledges the Turrbal and Jagera peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which I live and work in Meanjin (Brisbane).

I pay my respects to Elders past and present, and acknowledge the enduring connections of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture, community and knowledge.

I recognise that colonisation, intergenerational trauma and ongoing systemic inequalities continue to affect the health and wellbeing of our First Peoples. I also acknowledge the strength, resilience and wisdom of the world's oldest continuing cultures, and the importance of listening, learning and practising with cultural humility.

Acknowledgement of Diversity

Progress Pride flag representing LGBTQIA+ diversity and inclusion.
Rainbow Pride flag representing LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

No two people experience the world in quite the same way. Our identities, cultures, relationships, beliefs and lived experiences all shape how we understand ourselves and others.

Let's Natter welcomes people of all backgrounds, cultures, abilities, genders, sexual orientations, identities and ways of being.

I recognise that discrimination, marginalisation and social inequality can have profound effects on mental health and wellbeing. My commitment is to approach each person with curiosity, respect and an openness to perspectives and experiences different from my own.

You don't need to fit a particular mould to belong here.
