50-minute session — $100
Counselling that doesn’t have to break the bank.
Reduced-fee counselling
I know ongoing counselling isn't always financially accessible, for example, particularly when rebuilding life after domestic and family violence. A limited number of reduced-fee appointments are available for women experiencing financial hardship. Please ask when you contact us.
Payment & rebates
Bupa: I'm a Bupa-recognised provider. Depending on your level of cover, you may be eligible for a private health insurance rebate.
NDIS: Self-managed and plan-managed participants are welcome where counselling and related supports are covered by their plan.
Medicare: Mental Health Treatment Plan rebates aren't available for these sessions.
I've deliberately kept my session fees accessible. While Medicare rebates aren't available, the cost of counselling with me may still cost less than the out-of-pocket expense of seeing a privately practising practitioner, even after a Medicare rebate.
Common Questions
-
You can book face-to-face Walk & Talk sessions or online telehealth sessions immediately via the Halaxy health practitioner website or email us.
-
Sessions usually last 50 minutes, and during your first session, we aim to get to know you better. You may have already filled in the Let’s Have a Natter Client Intake Form, which will give us an understanding of what brings you to counselling. The first session is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about Liv or the counselling process before agreeing on how we can work together moving forward. How often you attend counselling sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals, though clients often benefit from weekly or fortnightly sessions, which we can discuss in your first session.
-
Yes! The information discussed during our sessions is confidential and may not be shared with anyone without your written permission except when there is a legal obligation.
Let’s Have a Natter provides you with informed consent documents, including confidentiality information, prior to your first session.

As a registered counsellor, I provide counselling and mental health support rather than formal psychological assessments or diagnostic reports. I don't provide psychological diagnoses, medico-legal reports or assessments for legal proceedings.
If you need a formal assessment or diagnosis, I can help you explore appropriate referral options.
-
Not at all! You don't need a GP referral, Mental Health Treatment Plan or formal diagnosis to access counselling.
You might be experiencing emotional distress, navigating a difficult life event, or simply wanting to better understand yourself and your responses. Whatever brings you here, we can start with what's happening for you, rather than needing to fit your experiences into a diagnostic category.
-
Life happens, and sometimes plans change! If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments may incur a cancellation fee in accordance with the booking terms and conditions.
You don't need a referral, a diagnosis or everything figured out before getting in touch.
